A single piece of black and gold marble is formed into the top and sides of the coaster.

Aegis uses three omni-wheels to move in any direction. This allows it to seamlessly navigate environments without turning, adding to the sublime experience.

Aegis sees with a single wide angle optical camera fed through a computer vision model. Using information from the camera it can proactively position itself directly below drinks.

The coaster will come when beckoned, leave when shoed, and avoid falling of tables and counters.

The initial computer vision model we used was not end-to-end, turning bug-fixing into a frustrating game of whack-a-mole as we chased down glitches. It soon became clear that end-to-end neural networks were the only path to achieving the sublime intelligence we were aiming for.
